Solar setters and closers
AI sales coach for solar setters and closers

Amotions AI for solar
Where do solar appointments and deals slip?
Most solar losses are not about the product. A setter books a sit without bill access or the second decision maker, a closer answers a financing question with a guess, or a competing quote turns the consult into a price fight. New reps learn these on live homeowners, and managers cannot listen to every call.
- Setter ramp: New setters repeat the same early mistakes: pitching on the first call, skipping homeowner and bill questions, and accepting “email me a quote” as a booked appointment.
- Appointments that do not hold: One-legged sits and unqualified appointments waste a closer’s evening. Qualification has to be complete before the calendar invite goes out.
- Closer objections: Financing, competing installer quotes, and “we need to think about it” decide the consult. Each needs a question first, then approved language.
- Uneven coaching: Each office or pod coaches its own way. A written scorecard and the same practice scenarios give every rep one standard.
The conversations we coach
Which solar conversations does Amotions coach?
Setter and closer moments that decide whether an appointment holds: “just email me a quote,” financing questions mid-pitch, skipped bill-access qualification, and competing installer quotes. Prompts follow your approved talk tracks and never calculate bill savings.
- Email me a quote
“Just email me a quote.”
Amotions cues: Acknowledge, then confirm decision makers and a 20-minute consult window before sending numbers.
- Financing
“What would my monthly payment actually be?”
Amotions cues: Do not invent payment math. Ask what part of financing is unclear (monthly, term, or credit), then use approved language.
- Competing quotes
“I already have two installer quotes.”
Amotions cues: Run discovery on priorities beyond price (timeline, roof, warranty, and decision criteria) using approved talk tracks.
- Spouse not home
“My husband isn’t home this week.”
Amotions cues: Secure a joint appointment or a documented decision-maker plan instead of a one-legged sit.

How it works
How does AI coaching work for solar setters and closers?
Setters and closers rehearse the objections they hear most in AI roleplay before knocks and dials, get private prompts on supported calls and dialers, then review scorecards on the qualification and next-step behaviors that protect appointment quality.
Before the call
1Practice
Setters practice the spouse-not-home dial and bill-access qualification; closers practice competing quotes and financing hesitation, each scored before live homeowners.
During the call
2Live
On supported calls and browser dialers, a private overlay cues the next qualification question or approved response. No bot joins, and it never calculates savings.
After the call
3Review
Scorecards cover qualification completeness, objection handling adherence, financing conversation discipline, and next-step clarity.
Appointment setters
How does Amotions help solar setters book appointments that hold?
The live overlay keeps a qualification checklist beside the dialer: homeowner status, bill access, decision makers, and a booked consult window. When a homeowner stalls, it suggests one question from your talk track so the setter earns the appointment instead of pitching.
Not interested
“We’re not interested.”
Ask one low-pressure question about the electric bill or their plans for the home before the call ends, in your approved opener language.
Renter or wrong contact
“I rent this place.”
Disqualify politely and log it. A booked renter costs a closer an evening.
Bill access
“I don’t have the bill handy.”
Confirm they can get it before the consult and who usually pays it, so the closer is not starting blind.
Door knocks
Live coaching needs a computer, so canvassers practice door openers in AI roleplay and managers review uploaded recordings afterward.
Closers and consults
How does Amotions help solar closers handle financing and competing quotes?
On virtual consults over Zoom, Teams, or Meet, the closer sees private prompts while the homeowner talks. Prompts ask a diagnostic question first, then point to your approved financing and positioning language. The coach never quotes a payment, a savings figure, or tax-credit eligibility.
Savings questions
“How much will I actually save?”
Point back to the proposal and its stated assumptions in approved language. No new numbers.
Tax credit
“Do I qualify for the tax credit?”
Use your approved line referring the homeowner to their tax professional. The coach does not judge eligibility.
Need to think
“We need to think about it.”
Ask what specifically is undecided (payment, roof, installer, or timing) and set a dated follow-up with both decision makers.
In-home sits
Live prompts work in the room only on a Mac or Windows laptop with a microphone. Tablet-only sits use roleplay before and upload after.
Your talk tracks
What does Amotions learn from your solar playbook?
You upload your scripts, approved objection responses, financing language, and qualification rules. Roleplay personas, live prompts, and scorecards all follow that material, so reps hear your words rather than a generic sales script. Calibration typically takes about a week.
Exact approved wording
Live prompts can show the exact lines from your uploaded talk tracks, which matters when financing and savings language is reviewed.
Discovery before pitch
Prompts can hold back the pitch until set qualification items are answered, and they do not re-ask what the homeowner already said.
Tone, not only words
MSCEIT-informed scoring reads delivery from the call audio, such as warmth, confidence, and pacing, as well as the transcript.
Adherence review
Managers can review whether approved prompts were followed on real calls, then assign the next roleplay.
Evaluate it
How should a solar team evaluate Amotions?
Start with one pod and two moments, such as the email-me-a-quote stall and financing questions. Record today’s appointment show rate and sit rate from your own CRM, run roleplay and live prompts for a few weeks, then compare. We do not publish a solar result to borrow.
One rep
Basic is free with limited usage, enough to try roleplay and live prompts on your own calls.
A pod
Starter is $49/seat/month billed annually ($59 billed monthly). Book a demo with your talk tracks for five or more seats.
What to measure
Roleplay scores by scenario, qualification completeness on live calls, and the show and sit rates you already track.
FAQ
Questions solar teams ask
Straight answers on privacy, playbook training, plans, and how Amotions fits the conversations your team already has.
What is AI for solar sales?
Amotions AI is an AI sales coach for solar teams: roleplay, real-time coaching, objection handling, appointment setting, discovery, financing talks, closing, and post-call feedback, without inventing energy-savings claims.
Will the AI calculate bill savings?
No. Amotions does not invent energy savings or financing outcomes. Reps use your approved talk tracks only.
Does it coach both setters and closers?
Yes. Setters get help protecting the appointment (qualification, decision makers, bill access); closers get help with competing quotes, financing questions, and next steps. Both practice in roleplay and are scored on your criteria.
Can high-volume dialer pods use live coaching?
Often yes via the overlay or desktop app. Validate CallTools, ViciDial, GoHighLevel, or browser dialers on the Integrations page before floor-wide rollout.
Does live coaching work on a phone or tablet?
Not yet. Live prompts need a Mac or Windows computer, through the desktop app or a Chromium browser. Reps on phones or tablets can use roleplay and upload recordings for scoring.
Does the homeowner know Amotions is there?
Coaching appears as a private desktop or web overlay for the seller or agent. Follow your company’s consent and recording policy.
Do you guarantee higher close rates?
No. We help teams practice and coach conversation quality. Results depend on offer, market, and management.
Does Amotions join the call as a bot or notetaker?
No. Amotions runs as a private desktop or web overlay on the rep’s own screen. It never joins Zoom, Teams, or Meet as an attendee, and the person on the other side of the conversation never sees the prompts.
Which plan do I need to train Amotions on our own playbook?
Playbook-trained custom agents are on every paid plan, from Starter up. Start free on Basic to try coaching, roleplay, and scoring built around your own process, then move to Professional when you need more usage.
How long does it take to train Amotions on our playbook?
Teams upload their playbook, approved objection responses, product knowledge, and talk tracks. Calibration typically takes about one week, after which live prompts, roleplay scenarios, and scorecards use your language instead of a generic script library.
Are our calls used to train public AI models?
No. Amotions never uses customer conversations to train third-party foundation models. Workloads run in isolated, encrypted cloud environments separated by customer workspace. Details are on the Trust Center at /security.
