Hearing clinics and hearing instrument specialists
The AI sales coach for hearing clinics and hearing aid sales
Amotions AI helps hearing providers listen more and talk less, score every consult against your own process, and see private prompts during the consult. Specialists rehearse the hard moments in AI roleplay before the patient arrives. Clinical judgment and fitting decisions stay with the provider.

Amotions AI for hearing health
What does an AI sales coach do for a hearing clinic?
It gives every provider the coaching an owner would give if they could sit in on every consult. Amotions AI prepares providers before the patient arrives, prompts them privately during the consult, and scores it afterward against the clinic’s own process. It coaches the conversation, never the clinical decision.
- Listen more, talk less: Live cues pull the provider back to reflection when a consult drifts into a product pitch. A scorecard item can check whether the patient spoke more than the provider, scored by comparing how much each side said.
- Discovery quality: Scorecards check whether the provider explored where hearing difficulty shows up day to day, what family has noticed, past experience with hearing aids, and who else should be involved before a recommendation.
- Custom call scoring and rubrics: Turn your consult process into the rubric: listening and reflection, lifestyle discovery depth, recommendation clarity, and trust and next-step discipline, plus any criteria you add. Custom scoring and rubrics are included from the Starter plan up.
- Private prompts during the consult: For in-person consults, the provider runs the Amotions desktop app (Mac or Windows) on a computer in the consult room that can hear the conversation. Prompts appear only on that screen. Amotions never joins as a bot.
- AI roleplay before the patient: Practice a first-time recommendation, “my hearing is not bad enough yet,” the spouse who is not in the room, financing hesitation, and premium-tier confidence, with a score after each run.
- Clinical boundary: Amotions does not replace audiology or licensed clinical advice. Providers stay responsible for testing, fitting decisions, and device selection.
The conversations we coach
Which hearing aid consult conversations does Amotions coach?
The moments where hearing aid consults wobble: thin lifestyle discovery, “my hearing is not bad enough yet,” hesitation when the investment range appears, and a spouse who is not in the room. Cues are illustrative; exact wording comes from your clinic playbooks, not invented clinical or pricing claims.
- Thin discovery
“It’s mostly the TV and restaurants.”
Amotions cues: Ask one specific lifestyle question (work calls, worship, hobbies) before comparing technology levels.
- Not bad enough yet
“My hearing is not bad enough yet.”
Amotions cues: Ask for one recent moment when someone had to repeat themselves, then connect it gently to the test results without arguing with how they see themselves.
- Price hesitation
“That’s more than I expected.”
Amotions cues: Acknowledge the pause. Ask what feels unclear (outcome, process, or payment), then restate value in clinic-approved language without inventing discounts.
- Spouse not in the room
“I need to think about it and talk to my wife.”
Amotions cues: Ask what their spouse has noticed at home and what they will want to know, then offer a short follow-up that includes them, with a date.

How it works
How does Amotions AI help providers before, during, and after a consult?
Hearing health teams rehearse discovery, empathy, and recommendation conversations in AI roleplay before the patient walks in, use private prompts during the consult, and review scorecards after each one so managers coach specific behaviors instead of generic advice.
Before the call
1Practice
Specialists roleplay a first-time recommendation, “not bad enough yet,” financing hesitation after a clear fit, the spouse who is not in the room, and premium-tier confidence, with a score before live patients.
During the call
2Live
In the consult room, the desktop app listens on the provider’s computer and cues lifestyle discovery, reflection, and recommendation language. Video and phone follow-ups work the same way. The patient does not see it, and it never joins as a bot.
After the call
3Review
Each consult is scored against your rubric: listening, discovery depth, recommendation clarity, and next-step commitment. Clinics can also upload consult recordings for an AI score.
AI roleplay
What can hearing providers practice in AI roleplay?
Providers rehearse the consult moments that are hardest to get right with a real patient in the chair. An AI patient plays each scenario, and the provider is scored on listening, plain explanations, and whether the patient could make an informed choice, not on whether they bought.
Explaining test results
“So what does this chart actually mean for me?”
Practice describing the results in everyday terms, tied to the situations the patient named, then check what they understood before moving on.
A family member who noticed first
“My daughter is the one who made me come in.”
Practice involving the family member’s observations while keeping the patient at the center of the decision.
Comparing technology levels
“Why would I need the expensive one?”
Practice laying out each level against the patient’s own listening situations, including when a lower level fits.
Cheaper options elsewhere
“I saw hearing aids at the pharmacy for a lot less.”
Practice a factual, respectful answer about what the clinic provides, without criticizing the alternative or the patient’s question.
Not ready today
“I want to think about it.”
Practice accepting the pause, answering what is still unclear, and offering a follow-up the patient chooses.
Recommendations
How should providers recommend premium technology without pressure?
A premium recommendation is only right when it follows from what the patient said they need. Amotions coaches providers to finish lifestyle discovery before naming a level, explain the trade-offs between levels in plain language, and leave the patient room to decide. The provider makes the clinical recommendation; Amotions coaches how it is explained.
Discovery before any level
Live prompts hold back device talk until the provider has asked where hearing is hardest: restaurants, work calls, worship, grandchildren.
Every option on the table
Prompts encourage explaining what each level adds for this patient’s situations, including what a lower level would and would not do.
Check understanding
Ask the patient to say back what matters to them and what they would choose and why, before talking about payment.
No pressure tactics
Load your clinic’s “never say” list: invented urgency, fear about decline, discounts that do not exist. Scorecards flag them.
Consult scorecard
What should a hearing consult scorecard reward?
Score the provider’s communication, never the clinical decision or the sale. The four starter criteria are listening, discovery depth, recommendation clarity, and a next step the patient agrees to. Clinics add their own, such as plain-language results, options explained, and checking understanding.
Listening
Did the patient talk more than the provider, and did the provider reflect what they heard?
Recommendation clarity
Was the recommendation tied to what the patient said, with the reasons and the alternatives explained?
Informed choice
Could the patient explain their options and choose freely, including choosing to wait?

FAQ
Questions hearing health teams ask
Straight answers on privacy, playbook training, plans, and how Amotions fits the conversations your team already has.
What is an AI sales coach for hearing clinics?
It is software that helps hearing providers run better hearing aid consults. Amotions AI lets specialists practice in AI roleplay, shows them private prompts during the consult, and scores each consult against the clinic’s own process, so owners can coach every provider, not only the consults they sit in on.
Does Amotions replace audiology or licensed clinical advice?
No. Amotions coaches conversation quality: listening, discovery, trust, and the recommendation talk tracks you approve. Providers remain responsible for clinical judgment, fitting decisions, and licensed advice.
How do I get hearing providers to listen more and talk less?
Coach one tracked behavior. Live prompts pull the provider back to reflection and lifestyle questions when the consult turns into a pitch. Afterward, a scorecard item can check whether the patient spoke more than the provider, and AI roleplay drills the listening moments a provider keeps missing.
Can we score consults against our own process?
Yes. Custom scoring and rubrics are included from the Starter plan up. Clinics turn their consult steps into criteria, such as listening and reflection, discovery depth, recommendation clarity, and a dated next step, and every consult or uploaded recording is scored against that rubric.
Does Amotions work for in-person consults in the clinic?
Yes. Run the Amotions desktop app (Mac or Windows) on a computer in the consult room that can hear the conversation. Prompts appear only on that screen, and Amotions does not join anything as a bot. Each clinic sets its own patient-notice and recording-consent policy.
What does Amotions integrate with?
Amotions has a native Zoom app and native Salesforce CRM sync. Google Meet and Microsoft Teams consults run through the desktop app or the web app, phone calls on a computer run through the desktop app, and recordings can be uploaded for scoring. Amotions does not publish an integration with hearing practice-management or EMR systems.
Where can I see a hearing health customer story with real numbers?
Read the House of Hearing story on the customer stories page. The owner, Jake LeRoy, reports a $160,000 monthly sales lift after the team used Amotions AI roleplay and consult scorecards. The figure is customer-reported.
Does Amotions coach other cash-pay healthcare consults?
Yes. Dental practices score doctor-patient consultations against their own communication standards (/solutions/ai-dental-communication-coaching), and med spa and other elective practices coach coordinators through consult conversations (/solutions/elective-healthcare-sales-coaching).
Will Amotions push providers to sell premium hearing aids?
No. Prompts and scorecards reward discovery, plain explanations of every option, and a choice the patient understands. A premium level should come up only when it fits what the patient said they need, and the provider stays responsible for the recommendation.
Is Amotions HIPAA compliant?
There is no official HIPAA certification, and Amotions does not claim one. Data is hosted on Google Cloud, encrypted in transit and at rest, and isolated per workspace. Each practice sets its own patient notice policy for recorded conversations. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your practice, and our hosting provider, Google Cloud, is covered by a signed BAA with Amotions. Ask us for the BAA before you share patient information. Details: https://amotionsinc.com/security#healthcare.
Does Amotions join the call as a bot or notetaker?
No. Amotions runs as a private desktop or web overlay on the rep’s own screen. It never joins Zoom, Teams, or Meet as an attendee, and the person on the other side of the conversation never sees the prompts.
Which plan do I need to train Amotions on our own playbook?
Playbook-trained custom agents are on every paid plan, from Starter up. Start free on Basic to try coaching, roleplay, and scoring built around your own process, then move to Professional when you need more usage.
How long does it take to train Amotions on our playbook?
Teams upload their playbook, approved objection responses, product knowledge, and talk tracks. Calibration typically takes about one week, after which live prompts, roleplay scenarios, and scorecards use your language instead of a generic script library.
Are our calls used to train public AI models?
No. Amotions never uses customer conversations to train third-party foundation models. Workloads run in isolated, encrypted cloud environments separated by customer workspace. Details are on the Trust Center at /security.
Privacy and compliance
