Should we choose Rilla or Amotions AI?

Choose based on who needs the help and when it has to arrive. Rilla is an AI-powered conversation and sales coaching platform focused on recording customer conversations, conversation intelligence, and virtual ridealongs, with strong public emphasis on field and in-person sales. Amotions AI is a real-time AI conversation assistant and sales coaching platform focused on the individual seller: live prompts during phone and video conversations, AI roleplay before, and scorecards after—including for in-person consults, as House of Hearing does. Neither is universally better. Field and in-person teams: see the Rilla alternatives section below.

What is Amotions AI?

Amotions AI is a real-time private AI sales coach that delivers in-call guidance, AI roleplay, and post-call scorecards—trained on the customer’s playbook. It does not join meetings as a bot.

Who each platform is designed for

Rilla’s public positioning points at managers of customer-facing teams who cannot be everywhere. Reps record conversations with the Rilla app, Rilla transcribes and analyzes them, and managers coach through virtual ridealongs rather than physically riding along. Rilla names home improvement, home building, home services, property management, multifamily, dental, automotive, senior living, and tech among its industries. Source: rilla.com.

Amotions AI points at the individual seller in the moment. Private prompts appear on the seller’s screen during a live conversation, drawn from the organization’s own playbook, with roleplay before and scorecards after. Its published audiences include SDR and BDR teams, insurance producers, mortgage and loan officers, real estate and leasing professionals, and dental and healthcare consults.

Neither framing is a criticism of the other. They answer different organizational questions: “how do my managers coach more conversations?” versus “how does this rep perform better in the next ten minutes?”

Conversation environment

This filter matters, but it is narrower than it looks. Rilla’s public product pages center on in-person and field conversations. Phone and video call support is not documented on the product pages we reviewed—we do not claim it is absent, and teams selling by phone should confirm that directly with Rilla.

Amotions AI is built for phone conversations and for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, and runs as a private overlay rather than joining a meeting as a visible participant. It also supports in-person conversations through approved capture and consult scorecards: House of Hearing runs face-to-face hearing-aid consults on Amotions AI, using roleplay before and scorecards after. So the environment question does not settle this comparison on its own—see /in-person-sales-coaching and the /customer-stories/hearing-health-ai-roleplay-coaching story.

If you are unsure which applies, count your conversations before you shortlist. Deeper treatment: /blogs/ai-sales-coaching-in-person-vs-phone-and-video.

Real-time assistance: who receives the help

Both products use the phrase real time, and they mean different operating models.

Rilla publishes a product called Rilla Live, which describes managers listening to in-person appointments as they happen and coaching in the moment. That is manager-led live coaching. It scales with manager availability. Whether Rilla also delivers AI-generated prompts directly to the rep during a conversation is not documented on the product pages we reviewed—ask in a demo.

Amotions AI delivers guidance to the seller, not to a listening manager: objection cues, suggested discovery questions, buying-signal flags, and next-best responses that adapt as the conversation moves. It does not require a manager to be available. It also does not promise zero latency, perfect accuracy, or a guaranteed outcome—the seller decides what to say.

If you are evaluating this dimension, the question to ask both vendors is simple: who receives the guidance, and what has to be true for it to arrive?

Recording and post-conversation analysis

Recording is Rilla’s foundation. Reps record with the Rilla app, and Rilla Intelligence describes analysis across those recorded conversations including close rates, script compliance, ticket size, competitor mentions, and customer objections. If your coaching system depends on reviewable conversations at volume, that is the design you want.

Amotions AI produces post-conversation scorecards and coaching feedback aligned to your rubric. Organizations can turn on audio recording, so coached conversations can be played back and downloaded from the call report. That is not a field recording app with a large conversation archive, so teams whose coaching runs on one should weigh the difference honestly rather than assume parity.

Roleplay and practice

Both platforms describe practice roleplay. Rilla’s public site mentions practice roleplays alongside feedback on recorded conversations. Amotions AI runs scenario practice scored against your own criteria, with sessions built from your playbook and objections.

The useful demo question is not whether roleplay exists—it is how scenarios get built. Ask each vendor: do we author scenarios from our own objections, how are sessions scored, and what happens to the score afterward? Related: /ai-sales-roleplay and /blogs/custom-ai-roleplay-scenarios-from-your-playbook.

Manager workflows

Rilla’s manager workflow is the virtual ridealong: review a recorded appointment quickly, coach from what you heard, repeat across the team.

Amotions AI’s manager workflow is scorecard-led: managers review post-conversation scores and roleplay results rather than sitting on calls, and turn misses into the next practice scenario. Related: /blogs/how-to-coach-a-10-person-sales-team-without-sitting-on-every-call.

Both reduce the manager’s time per conversation. They differ in what the manager is looking at.

Industry fit

Rilla publicly names home improvement, home building, home services, property management, multifamily, dental, automotive, senior living, and tech.

Amotions AI publishes industry pages for insurance, mortgage and lending, real estate and leasing, dental and healthcare, commercial real estate, and other customer-facing motions. See /industries.

There is real overlap—dental and multifamily appear on both sides—and in overlapping verticals the environment question usually decides it. A dental practice coaching chairside consults and a dental group coaching treatment-coordinator phone follow-ups are not the same buyer.

Rilla alternatives for in-person and field sales teams

Home services, solar, roofing, med spa and clinic consults, and new-home sales share one constraint: the conversation happens at a kitchen table, in a treatment room, or in a model home, not on a screen. Rilla was built for that setting.

What Rilla does well

Rilla’s site describes a tight loop: upload your sales process, reps record conversations with the Rilla app, and managers coach through AI-assisted virtual ridealongs that Rilla says take about 30 seconds. Its AI is tailored to your sales process and, if you have no script, learns from your best performers. It scores conversations on metrics such as script score and talk ratio, offers Rilla Live for managers coaching in-person reps in real time, and publishes Rilla Roleplay for AI practice. What to evaluate

•

When coaching happens. After the appointment (review, ridealongs, scorecards), during it (a manager listening in, or AI cues to the rep), or before it (practice).

•

How the conversation is captured. Rilla and Siro both publish a phone-app workflow: the rep opens the app and records. Amotions AI publishes a different path: the desktop app listening to room audio when your policy allows capture during the conversation, or a recording uploaded afterward. That suits a consult room or model-home desk better than a roof walk. If you want a wearable, ask each vendor what hardware it supports.

•

Roleplay. Can reps rehearse the price conversation, the spouse objection, or the financing talk before the next appointment, and are scenarios built from your own objections?

•

Scoring on your own rubric. Ask to see a scorecard built from your steps and weights, not only a generic talk-ratio report.

•

Privacy and consent. Recording-consent rules vary by state, and clinic consults can involve health information. Ask who can hear recordings and what the customer is told. For Amotions AI: Data is hosted on Google Cloud, encrypted in transit and at rest, and isolated per workspace. Each practice sets its own patient notice policy for recorded conversations. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your practice, and our hosting provider, Google Cloud, is covered by a signed BAA with Amotions. Ask us for the BAA before you share patient information. Details: https://amotionsinc.com/security#healthcare.

Alternatives worth a look

Siro describes itself as AI coaching for in-person sales teams: reps record on their phone, and its Halftime feature is described as live AI coaching during sales calls. Listed industries include home improvement, home services, home builders, and medical aesthetics. Confirm with Siro how Halftime reaches a rep mid-appointment. Source: siro.ai.

•

Amotions AI fits in-person teams that want coaching centered on the rep: roleplay before the appointment, the desktop app capturing room audio or an uploaded recording, and scorecards on your rubric afterward. Organizations can also turn on audio recording for coached conversations. How it works in person: https://amotionsinc.com/in-person-sales-coaching

When Rilla is the better fit

Choose Rilla if your field reps need a dedicated mobile recording app for appointments in the home or on the job site with no computer nearby, your managers want to review and ride along at volume, and you need a mature recording archive today. That is Rilla’s core design. Amotions AI supports in-person conversations through a Mac or Windows computer in the room plus recording upload for scoring; it has no mobile or tablet app. Organizations can turn on audio recording for coached conversations, but that is not a mobile field-recording app.

Questions to ask during a sales evaluation

•

Where do our conversations actually happen, and does this product support every one of those channels?

•

Who receives guidance during the conversation—the rep, or a manager who happens to be listening?

•

How do our objections, talk tracks, and scoring criteria get into the product, and what does the AI do if we have no written script?

•

What does recording require from the rep, and what does the customer see or hear?

•

How are roleplay scenarios authored and scored, and does scoring use our rubric?

•

What does a manager look at during a weekly coaching cadence?

•

What is on the roadmap versus shipped today, in writing?

•

What does rollout look like for a team of our size, and who administers it?

How to read this comparison

Every Rilla statement in this article is restated from Rilla’s public website, linked as the source of truth. Where Rilla’s public pages do not document a capability, this article says so rather than asserting an absence. Capabilities change; confirm both products directly.

Q1.

Does this article claim Amotions AI is better than Rilla?

A.

No. The two products emphasize different workflows, and the right choice depends on where your conversations happen and whether your reps need help during them or your managers need scale in review. Some organizations run both.

Q2.

Where is the detailed feature matrix?

A.

This article is now the single Rilla comparison on amotionsinc.com; the former comparison page redirects here. Each section above compares one dimension, and anything Rilla does not publicly document is marked as a question to confirm with Rilla.

Q3.

What is the best Rilla alternative for in-person and field sales teams?

A.

It depends on when you need coaching and how conversations are captured. Siro publishes a similar phone-app recording workflow for in-person teams. Amotions AI fits teams that want rep-centered roleplay and scorecards, using the desktop app with room audio or an uploaded recording. If managers need a mature recording archive for ridealongs, Rilla remains the stronger fit.

Q4.

Can Amotions AI coach in-person appointments?

A.

Yes, within published limits. Teams upload an approved recording after the meeting, or run the desktop app with room audio when their policy allows capture during the conversation. Amotions AI does not claim silent automatic recording of every in-person meeting. When an organization turns on audio recording, coached conversations can be played back and downloaded from the call report.

Who Amotions is not for

Amotions is built to coach reps while the conversation is happening. It is not the right fit for:

  • Teams that only need post-call analytics. Amotions scores calls after they end, but it is built to guide reps during the live call. If you never want in-call guidance, a conversation intelligence platform is the closer fit.
  • Teams that require a native dialer integration. Amotions runs as a private overlay beside ViciDial, CallTools, GoHighLevel, and browser dialers on the rep’s computer. It does not plug into your dialer’s API or run inside your phone system. How Amotions works with dialers
  • Teams that need CRM auto-fill as the core job. Salesforce is the only native CRM connector today, and its optional writeback adds a Task with the call summary rather than updating Opportunity or Lead fields. HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and Pipedrive have no native connector. CRM integration details
  • Reps who take calls only on a mobile phone. Live coaching runs on a Mac or Windows computer that can hear the call. There is no mobile app.
